I'm not quite there yet.......!!!

Hells bells, there has to be an easier way than this, I feel like I am in some room, shut away, rabbiting on to myself here......I need help with sorting this out and fast!!!

Still Getting To Grips......

Well with so much going on in my life, and everyone elses, I thought that perhaps I needed to channel my energies into one spot.   However, I am still coming to grips with this thing called "A Blog".

I am still posting chapters of my fanfic Bluebirds (a WW2 version of the classic North & South with alot of my own twists as only I love - so perhaps not to everyone's taste or liking, but hey-ho).

In future I will just use this blogsite to feature my work.

I am still tweeking "Wishes" and hope to send that out once more into the realms of the publishing world.

Oh and this is the cover I have for Bluebirds - hope you all approve!

New Beginnings

See, I told you I wasn't that brilliant at keeping up to date with this!!

So much has been happening......where to start?

Had a great week's holiday by the sea

Also have taken the major decision to quit my current job!   You know how it goes, you get stuck in a rut, get taken for granted, and as you get older you tend to think that maybe you are not going to go anywhere?  The crunch came, and after much deliberation I decided with the guidance of my other half, to say enough!  I am seeking new challenges and am technically working my notice period with a flexible working week, so it gives me time to focus on my book and get that back out to a couple of agents.   I also have interviews and one second interview lined up.

Keeping everything crossed.    I know I have made the right decision - let's just see how it pans out!

Almost but not quite

Well I took the bull by the horns, figuratively speaking!   I emailed one of my two literary agents I submitted my manuscript to and the one I didn't email surprisingly contacted me!   Disappointing news, as they had first only asked for three chapters and the synopsis, then a little way down the line asked for the complete manuscript......and although praised and considered "good" - apparently not good enough.

Back to the drawing board.

Happy enough to keep trying - this was my first attempt after all.   Respected writers on C19 have given me their support and encouragement so I am not going to give up.   As a first timer I did very well really so that surely is going to motivate me further.

This is all very new!

This is all very new to me!   Very fitting I guess to post a picture of Richard Armitage whose role as John Thornton in Elizabeth Gaskell's North & South inspired me to write again.
